ATHLETICS
SFVA offers a strong and competitive athletics program with opportunities for students at every level. As a proud member of the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section and the Omega League, our varsity and junior varsity teams compete at a high level. Our elementary program also participates competitively through the Foundation for Interscholastic Youth Athletics.
SFVA provides a variety of competitive sports, including girls’ and boys’ volleyball, boys’ basketball, and boys’ flag football. Notably, our junior high boys’ basketball team is a back-to-back two-time FIYA Division 1-A champion, reflecting the strength and excellence of our athletics program.
Get Involved
Interested in playing a sport? Let our admissions know and they'll put you in touch with who can make that happen. Even if you don't know how to play well, our coaches will work with you and teach you how to be the best player you can be.
Are you a coach or are you interested in coaching? We have a place for you. We love volunteers. Athletes also enjoy the variety of learning from different points of view.
Extra Costs
There are additional costs associated with high school athletics, including transportation, league fees, and required team uniforms. Uniforms are often custom-made and may include the student’s name. These expenses vary by sport but are an important part of supporting a competitive athletic program.
